Visiting Iceland in the winter

is an enchanting experience.

The dark winter nights amidst snowy mountains and icy lakes may be lit up by a starry heaven with flickering northern lights. Our winter tours to Northwest Iceland are well suited for those interested in getting to know the Icelandic horse in its natural surroundings. The programme includes special riding shows where professional riders will demonstrate the various features of the horse, including all the five gaits. There will also be visits to some breeding farms, offering the participant the opportunity to make personal contact with the breeders. Accommodation is at quality hotels or farmers‘ guesthouses and the food is based on quality local produce. The next winter the Events & Breeders Winter Tour will take place in 2011, and the group will be accompanied by a professional guide the whole time.
