The Víðidalstungurétt will be on the first weekend of October. There will be a programme lasting the whole weekend, offering the opportunity of taking part in the round-up of several hundred horses, enjoying traditional food and buying or at least trying out some horses. As always the fun culminates in a ball in the Víðihlíð Hall in the evening. The local restaurants and guesthouses, as well as some tour operators, offer special round-up deals.
